Installation Process
According to the EPA, more than 1 in 5 households utilize independant septic or small community cluster systems for sewage and waste water. Are you ready for a new septic system? If so, Sep-Tek is here to help you through the entire septic system installation process, while educating you along the way. Once we navigate through the initial application and permitting phase, we will begin the design phase.
In the design phase, we will determine the size tank and the type of system needed as well as the location and length of the leach drain lines. Once the design phase is completed, we will install the system and ensure it is working properly.

What is required?
Obtain Permit & Complete Perc Test
A permit and a perc test are required prior to a septc tank system install. Permits vary depending on location. The perc test must be done by a licensed professional. The test measures the absorption level of your soil. Your soil must drain sufficiently so that the field lines will work properly.
Determine the Size Tank Needed
The tank size will be based on the number of bedrooms in the home. Some locations do; however, require a miinum size tank. Residential tanks typically range in size from 750 to 2000 gallons.
Select the Best Location
The septic system should be adequate distance from the house, a well, large trees, and even your compost bin. The field lines cannot be in an area that has a lot of rain water runnoff. Your contractor will assist you in selecting the ideal spot.
